RichFLV: The Sole FLV Editor
FLV is a file format used in delivering video over the internet using Adobe Flash Player. Most internet geeks find it close to impossible to edit an FLV file since you can hardly find an application that does the work. But if you dig a little deeper, RichFLV exists which could be the only app that edits FLV.
RichFLV is a free Flash video editor for the Adobe Air platform used in free track-style editing for FLV files from any embedded Flash video. The installer for its latest version is just 592.3 KB, which expands to 723.4 KB upon installation. It can read FLV Metadata, read/edit/modify/delete cuepoints, export the FLV to various formats (mp3, JPEG, PNG, SWF, XML), and jump forward and backward.
The app can be used to merge sections of clips together, export and import audio or video to more convenient formats, and do lots of other editor-style operations on Flash video. One stumbling block, however, is its thickset memory usage.
