Adobe AIR Clinched by GlobalSign
GlobalSign has announced its support for Adobe AIR. The application can be obtained through GlobalSign code signing certificates to improve end-user confidence over Adobe’s runtime environment.
GlobalSign is a WebTrust certified certificate authority that provides publicly trusted X.509 compliant SSL, including the new EV SSL Extended Validation Certificate, S/MIME and code signing certificates for use on all popular platforms including Mobile. It provides certificates for signing Adobe Systems PDF documents with their DocumentSign product.
According to the company, code signing certificates will allow Adobe AIR developers to virtually package their applications. The certificates enhance productivity of web applications by supplying profound desktop integration. These can be acquired at a price of $229 for unlimited signings for a one or two year period.
Adobe AIR is a cross-platform runtime environment for building rich Internet applications using Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, HTML, or Ajax, that can be deployed as a desktop application.
